Amit Karamchandani

Amit Karamchandani Batra received a B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering and an M.Sc. degree in Software for Embedded and Distributed Systems from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is currently a predoctoral researcher and Ph.D. student in the Mathematical Modeling and Bioinformatics group at the same university, specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer network security.

His work includes contributions to applied sciences, particularly in the integration of machine learning-based systems in 5G cybersecurity frameworks. He has participated in several research projects financed by the European Union’s H2020 and HORIZON programs, as well as national projects funded by the Spanish government. He has co-authored several research papers and collaborates with other academics and industry experts in the fields of AI, telecommunications, and cybersecurity.

He was awarded the Best Final Degree Project Award in Software Engineering in June 2022 and the Best Academic Record Award for his master’s program in December 2023 by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Sistemas Informáticos. Additionally, he was a recipient of the Excellence Scholarship from the Government of the Community of Madrid in 2017, 2018, and 2019, recognizing his outstanding academic performance. He also held a Student Collaboration Scholarship with the Department of Computer Systems during the 2020/2021 academic year.
