I am a Full Professor at the Technical University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) and lead the Research Group on Mathematical Modeling and Biocomputing at the same institution.

My current research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques in the fields of telecommunications and cybersecurity. I am particularly interested in exploring how Generative AI can be leveraged in cybersecurity scenarios and in the management and optimization of 5G and 6G networks.

In addition, I have initiated a research line focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence methods to the management of water masses and the interpretation of electrical signals generated by electrogenic microorganisms, with a strong emphasis on microbial electrochemical systems for water and soil remediation.
